Understand Yourself Better

When you have successfully built self-awareness, you have arrived at the point of understanding yourself better. This stage of understanding suggests that you have a sober and truthful view of your real personality. It also means that you can easily mingle with other people both confidently and honestly. Without self-awareness, any person who tries to progress in their life or plan for success and recognition is bound to face defeat. To be consciously aware of both our physical and mental needs is the backbone of the process of self-awareness. Understand that self-awareness is different from awareness. Awareness implies that you are alert, attentive, and knowledgeable. It means that you have a measure of recognition, approval, and feel good concerning yourself. A combination of Self-awareness with consciousness is an extremely higher level of self-development. Most people have not attained the pinnacle of self-awareness. Instead they reach the self-introspective level, which in this case the personality they have fashioned in their brain is tailored on someone else`s aspect of how he should be. In short, he or she may perceive that others view him or her as a responsible person when in actual sense he or she doesn't have the ability to take responsibility. Vast majorities of people are on this level of growth where they are unreal and changed, rather than being original and created. They remain stagnated here. Self-introspection mainly features two levels. Stage number one in essence is the process of self-ignorance where a person remains blind of his inner realizations. He pursues truth in the whole world but fails to acknowledge that the answers to all his queries lie inside himself. Stage number two is the phase of self-realization. The responsiveness or awareness of an inner self is revealed in this stage. This inner self is our untiring assistant in each and every action and thought. However, this inner self is reflexive in nature and many people are unable to know it. Here, a person becomes aware of his insecurities and then the path of self-development gradually begins. This is where a person can head toward self-determination and continue through the growing phase meanwhile building his or her inner strengths. Having this level of growth moves you over the self-introspection of the common fellows. No longer are you being the self-ignorant,but you become the person at the helm of your existence, including your how you feel, how you think, how you behave, how you make choices and others. Self-determination gives you the power you need to go beyond what the ordinary person can do. Instead of you being a conformist, you become a nonconformist who is a true leader in the world. Conformists are often spending their entire lives admiring other people, becoming fans to others, devoting their time to others and in most cases falling into the discipline of others. These kinds of people find it difficult to maintain any level of self-determination. Instead they wait for others to instruct them on what to do next. This is your everyday conformist, or normal individual in the society. There is no fulfillment in spending a lifetime admiring others and hoping to become like them.No pleasure is found in supporting others for the rest of your life. For emphasis I repeat, there is no pleasure found from devotion towards others and waiting others to discipline you. People who follow others are found lacking a great deal in maturity. This is the main reason why so many topics are written to encourage people to change their ways and take on the nonconformist demeanor, which makes you a guaranteed winner and leader. Life is too short so pay a visit to the Internet to look for ways to work through self-development and arrive at self-determination.
